Which brings me to my very first Breyer horse. To this day, I have no idea if it's a custom or original finish or what drew me to the the thing. It's kind of creepy looking. But if it wasn't for this creepy model, I probably would have never gotten into Breyer horses.
When I was small, my family and I stopped at a yard sale and something drew me to the model. Then years later, at Target, I saw a model that had the same looking mold and bought it. There started my realization of there being a company that made portrait models and made pretty horses.
I owe my model horse interest to this model. And although this model will never be in a model horse show, unless it's a fun class, it will always hold a spot on my shelf for its creepy self.
